엔터테인먼트와 미디어에 대한 강의를 진행하고 있다. 고려대학교에서 언론학과 경영학을 이중 전공하였으며 졸업 후 고려대학교 언론학 석사, 미시간 대학교에서 커뮤니케이션 박사 학위를 취득하였다. 2023년 고려대학교에 부임하기 전에는 미국 애리조나 대학교 커뮤니케이션 학과에서 조교수로 재직하였다. AEJMC (Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication) 학회 등에서 우수논문상을 11회 수상한 바 있다. Dam Hee Kim (https://damheekim.wixsite.com/website) teaches courses on entertainment & media and social media. She received her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Michigan, and her M.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication) and B.A. (Summa Cum Laude, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Business Administration) from Korea University. Before joining the faculty at Korea University in 2023, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Arizona. Overall, her work has earned her 11 research awards including two Top Paper awards from the AEJMC (Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication) in 2021.

미디어 커뮤니케이션학과 경영학의 학제 간 배경을 가지고, 변화하는 미디어 환경에서 사람들이 뉴스와 엔터테인먼트 콘텐츠와 어떻게 상호작용하는지, 그 사회적, 정치적, 비즈니스적 함의는 무엇인지에 관심을 두고 연구하고 있다. With her cross-disciplinary background in communication and business, Dam Hee Kim’s research focuses on the social, political and business implications of individuals’ engagement with news and entertainment content in the evolving media environment.
